Nathan Down

From an very early age Nathan has been interested in cars, especially race cars. His father constructs and builds his own Formula Fords in the UK and Nathan has been heavily involved in the design, construction and driving of these FF's called Getem. After gaining a BEng Mechanical Engineering degree from Coventry University (Equivalent to an MSc in the US) , Nathan went to Caterham Cars as Research and Development engineer. Here he was involved with engineering team that produced the Caterham 21 and R500 and headed up such projects as the increased dimension chassis, the SV, and the entry level Vauxhall Classic. Nathan then found himself stateside working for a Caterham Dealership in Denver, CO and in early 2008 joined the Thomas Vintage Motors team. Nathan is restoring a 1969 Lotus 61 Formula Ford when he can tear himself away from his beautiful family.
