Maserati 200S

After the successful A6 GCS, Maserati needed a new car for the 1500 cc class, as the A6 GCS was heavy and now longer competitive. The lighter 150S chassis, combined with the 140 BHP of the twin cam four was an immediate success.

This car was raced by the factory in 1956 at the Trofeo Supercortemaggiore then sold to Jo Bonnier, who returned the car to the factory in 1957 for installation of a 180 BHP 2000 cc engine. He raced the, now known 200S, car until 1962.
