Jaguar XKC C Type

The XK120C or C-type was Jaguar's first efforts at a purpose built racing car. Designed to win the Le Mans 24 hour, a feat it managed in both 1951 and 1953. It has a triangulated space frame and a body designed by one of the first designers to apply aerodynamics to a racing car, Malcolm Sayer. By 1953 the inline 6 cylinder engine was producing 225 BHP allowing the C-type continued success.

This car is the last of the production models and only precedes the 3 factory cars designated for Le Mans in 1953.
