Shakedown Testing - May 12th 2009
We drove out to High Plains Raceway today to test and tune the Brabham BT23 and the shop Titan Formula Ford. The initial shakedown of the Brabham had highlighted some fuelling issues for the Ford FVA. The FVA is a finicky engine to setup and we needed to check out our modifications. The shakedown had also shown that different gear ratios were needed. The gears worked great but the engine, although better, needed further improvements. The Titan was having it's first shakedown. We had been working feverishly over the last 10 days to turn a tired racer with a damaged engine into a top flight racer. The hard work had been worth it with the car performing as expected. Both cars will be running at HPR this weekend. Weekly Snapshot - May 2nd 2009Click on the images below for more details.
Weekly Snapshot - April 24th 2009 A new feature to the TVM website is a weekly snapshot. At the end of each week we will upload images of the shop to show you what's going on. Supporting the images will be a brief explanation of the projects. Click on the images below and enjoy.

First Test and Tune of '09 - April 9th 2009We headed to the NEW track, High Plains Raceway today to Test and Tune two of our clients cars. First a 1953 Jaguar C-Type and secondly a 1966 Lola T70 MK2 Spyder. We were temporarily halted due to snow, but by lunch time the track was clear. The C-type had undergone extensive suspension analysis and preparation over the winter and required a comprehensive shakedown, whilst the Lola was just itching to get out of the garage! Both cars performed flawlessl,y racking up around 25 laps a piece. Both drivers, Nathan Down and David Jacobs, commented on how the new track is a real challenge and exciting to drive. Neither can wait for the first RMVR race on May 16th/17th.
